    The Clothes You Wear

    The Clothes You Wear

What others see from your style

You tend to be a gentle and pleasant person. You love nature and at least some of the arts, and derive great satisfaction from being helpful. You are stubborn and are not interested in wealth and power.

    What your nightclothes reveal

You are friendly and always in good mood. You are candid and helpful, and can be sexy at times too. (sexy??!! haha...)

What others see from your ties

You are a caring people. You are romantic, witty, and easygoing. You compromise rather than confront, and love nature. ( I totally agree with the last sentence.)

What others see from your belts

If there's not a single belt in your wardrobe, you like freedom and are opposed to all kinds of rules. You are creative and very good at work that requires you to stretch your imagination. Your main downfall, however, is that you can be very moody.

What others see from your shoes

You are a person who loves simplicity and is sincere and open. You are pleasant to be with, easygoing and always in a good mood. You neither want to control nor be under someone else's control. You don't care much about how you look, and know that it's what's inside someone's heart that's important.

What others see from your earrings

You are a sweet and talkative person. You are sociable, energetic and interesting, and get easily bored by the same old things. You are always looking for adventure. ( Hmm...i don't think i'm very sociable and get bored by the same old thing. In fact, i prefer things to be the same. )

    The last analysis

You are probably a clever and adventurous person. You love to learn new things, and enjoy socializing with friends. Although you enjoy your freedom, you cherish peacefulness and like to spend time alone with your thoughts. ( I do like to spend time alone at times to do some re-connection within myself...)

    andy's 21st birthday!

We celebrated andy's 21st birthday on saturday 19 January 2008. He invited the whole clique to his house for buffet. =)

After having our dinner, all of us entertained ourselves with magjiong and poker cards. Seet, van, agnes, ek and i played "silent heart-attack" and "arse-hole dai dee"! Silent heart-attack was the most hilarious one. It sets us laughing like crazy! We had so much fun with the pranks which was planned to set up andy. LOL.

    Pictures of the birthday boy.

    Our DIY card for him.

Poor andy...he had to rip off tonnes and tonnes of newspapers before getting to his crumpler bag. haha. * this nice bag was chosen by agnes! * =)

My aunt had sent me some really meaningful and sweet little quotes which made my day. Let me share with you peps out there. =)

chinatown and some grumblings about school

Hai...i can't seems to get the electives i want. Really darn suay this semester... The only vacancy for "introduction to psychology" i came upon by chance was taken away by someone who apparantly had a faster finger than me! I was pissed off. Now, im still diligently looking and hoping for people to drop the modules which i don't mind taking. If not i have to pray hard for my module appeals to be successful. Or else i would only have 4 modules on hand. I have to take at least 5 modules every semester to ensure i don't overload myself for the rest of my university life... Sigh~ Sian

Anyways, let's put that aside and blog about something more light hearted.
Mr g and i met up after his novena and my cca respectively for dinner at Chinatown. It was very crowded there. Most probably we'll be going there again soon (when cny is approaching) to take more photos of the decor and to drown ourselves in the chinese new year atmosphere.

At Xiang Cun (香村小食店) where they sell authentic kuching koolo mee! I was too hungry to remember to snap pictures of the mee...pardon me. haha.

Pictures below were us after dinner...

    Sleepy after dinner?

    ok...i looked weird here.

    Fruitful day

Since yesterday had no school, i asked mr g a favour to bring me to have a look at the older Catholic Churches in Singapore. We went to churches and cathedral. But we didn't managed to go inside the cathedral because it was closed. The churches we went were "Church of Our Lady of Lourdes", "St Joseph's Church" and more. The one that i love most is St Joseph's Church. It is one of the biggest old churches in singpore which was built in 1851. The interior decor is very traditional and beautiful. It gives off the feeling of tranquil-ness and sacredness. What surprised us most was having the rare chance to have a conversation with a priest, Rev.Fr. Christophe. That was very very unexpected. He is in his 70s i supposed and he is a French who came to Singapore 44 years ago. Initially, we didn't know he is a priest until he chatted with us because he was dressed in buttoned shirt and pants. A very friendly and fatherly figure indeed. Know what? He had studied Sociology before! Just like me! =) Though he only studied for a year.
After the concversation, he went to play the organ while we were left alone to explore the church ourselves.
Till now...i still can't get over the experience i had there. It is indescribable...

Dinner at Sizzler Seafood and Steak Restaurant at SunTec.

Free flow salads, soups and ice cream with various toppings!

    Mr g's black pepper steak.

My teriyaki steak with swiss cheese, mushrooms and crispy fried onions. It's salivating!

    Greedy mr g... =p

    Greedy me. haha..

    some thoughts...

Humans are so vunerable. We are prone to sickness, physical and emotional hurts. None is preventable. Even though we might not experience now, does not mean we would not encounter them in any other phases of our lives. Perhaps, the pain is something that could make us realises we are still alive and our senses are working fine. Only then we know what is happiness when there is pain. The contrast is how we see the other side of a coin; the other side of life. Would we then be more appreciative of the good moments we shared among the people we care? I don't know.. Sometimes we are too preoccuppied in our own world and immerse in total self pity that we over look the fact that there is still a real world besides our own. People are dying every second from all kinds of reasons (illness, murder, accident or starvation), animals being brutally tortured and the issues of global warming and social unrest. But the world does not stop just because of these. It continues to function. Other people still continue to live life and to make the best out of it. Every day is just like every other day. Our own problems seems to dimish significantly when compared to what is happening outside.

Like i say, we are vunerable and fragile. We easily magnify our problems and let them weigh upon us till we are unable to take a breath. Solution? Many would say... we have to learn how to see through life. Know how to let go and accept what are presented to us. But i tell you, this is easier said than done. At least to me. I still have a long long way to learn. Just by the thought of if i had to lose a dear one, can already make me cry. I admit im weak. But we are all link together by something called relationship and this is something very special we own. The more special it is, the more pain you will feel when you lose it. Because they are so dear, therefore i have such intense reaction. However, sometimes we wouldn't know how special the person is until we lose them. Irony isn't it?

gosh...i don't know what i'm blabbering about. My train of thoughts are so jumbled up right now...Pardon me.

    sluggish day yesterday

Yesterday was really a sluggish and lazy day for me. Stayed home the whole day when i was supposed to go to my secondary friend john's 21st birthday party. Girls, im very sorry for the last minute cancellation of appointment. I was really feeling lethargic and giddy from the lack of quality sleep. Hai, still owe you girls $16 for the present. I will make sure i pay up as soon as possible. Gosh..i already started owing people's money right at the beginning of the year. LOL..
Tell me how could i rest well when i have to go through series and series of dreams? What i meant was having all sorts of dreams in just one sleep. Long or short, coloured or black-white, pleasant or frightening, you can name whatever you want. haha..

In total, I took two short naps throughout yesterday. After dinner, i watched 2 vcds which i had been "preserving" for almost 5 months! They were "The Freedom Writer" and "Forrest Gump". Both movies were nice and they made me teared with their touching storylines..and of course, not to forget about the actors' and actresses' acting skills. They played a crucial role in making the story and character alive by giving life to it. =)

2008 will be a good year for all!

new year eve & new year day

Met upwith clique for new year day fireworks countdown. We reached the grass patch at around 9.30pm. Before that, we had our dinner at Xin Wang HK Cafe. It had been quite a while since i had my all time favourite - Fish and Egg mee sua! hahaz.. Oh ya, this year's celebration was a little different from the last two years because seet's siblings, my sister and mr g joined us for the fireworks. =)

Well, the fireworks was alright, it lasted for around 8 minutes. At least better than causewaypoint's, which was only for 2 minutes. So i can't complain. haha.

    12 of us.
