not a good morning to start with

argh......! i hate it when my mum started to nag and scold my sis coz i would get the same treatment eventually at any trivial things that she could pin-point on me. Really feel so sian to be twined into their aguments for no reason. gosh...feeling lousy now... sigh~

    Ben's bday bbq on 28-9-07

We celebrated Ben's birthday a day earlier at Sembawang's seaside. I must really thanks him for the less sweet healthy chocolate birthday cake from Awfully Chocolate he treated us! The cake was cleared within 15 mins i guessed? Especially andy, who was sitting silently at a corner wolfing down quite a large portion of the cake. hahaz...

    BBQ-ing guys.

    Ben with his cake!

What else....ben was super HIGH when he saw THAT! ahaha...

    i'm greedy...

Why happy moments always passed-by so fast, just like a train? Perhaps because of that, we would tend to treasure and cherish them more than usual. But again, i'm a human being and I'm greedy. How i wish time will make a pause, letting me indulge in my own little world of paradise longer...Because i know i could never get enough of it... =)

PS: The hanuta chocolate wafer is superb! thank you so much mr g! haaz..
Also, 25 sep 2007 was a special day to remember. =)

    Some meaningful quotes i'd found

    * Beauty is not an appearance, it's a state of mind and being.

    * We have no right to ask when sorrow comes, “Why did this happen to me?“ unless we ask the same question for every moment of happiness that comes our way. ( human beings are prone to take things/people around them for granted.)

    * What's a smile? A smile is when someone special leaks into your mind and through your heart and into your mouth. (i couldn't agree more with this. smilez~ )

    * The most important thing in life is to love someone. The second is to have that someone love you. The third is to have the first and second to happen at the same time. ( i think everyone of us yearns for that!)

    * To love is like playing the piano. First, you must learn to play by the rules. Then, you must forget the rules and play from your heart. (hm...don't know why for some reasons i kinda like this phrase. It's just simple and straight to the point i guess...)

    * Maturity begins to grow when you can sense your concern for others outweighing your concern for yourself.

    * Nothing can bring you peace but yourself. (we can overcome nothing unless we overcome ourselves first.)

PS : The ones in pink are added by me. =) enjoy~

    Chuck and Larry

Went to catch a movie - (Now i pronounced you chuck and larry) with mr g yesterday. It's a movie really worth watching! I can garantee you.
For your information, it was so hilarious that i laugh until i teared! No kidding man...Both of us were like 2 mad people waiting to admit to woodbridge, and so did the rest of the people at the cinema. LOL. This show was just SO CRAZY. You will definitely agree with me after watching that. Hm...i think it had been one of the funniest comedies i had caught so far. hahaz.

My one week recess break has already started and i can't wait for monday, tuesday and wednesday to come... hehez.. =)
I shall study and play hard for this break to make it a fully utilised one.

    Van's 20th birthday celebration

    14-9-07 (Fri)

We celebrated van's birthday one day after at Waraku at the Marina Square outlet. Most of us were first time there, including myself. The Jap food there is actually rather affordable other than their sushi, which are a little expensive than the other mid-end Jap restaurants.
But i have to warn those who are considering to dine at Waraku, please be prepared to queue. Even on weekdays. Mind you, we had queued for an hour although we had called for reservation and guess what? We were on waiting-list for reservations! That is how popular the restaurant is.

Most of the pictures were taken during our wait.
(More pics are with seet and i'm waiting to ka poh from her.. haha.)

a smile in a rainy day - original lyrics

a smile in a rainy day - original lyrics

look out of my window; i see dark dark clouds
matching in from the west, stop right above my block
    soon...
rain begins to fall, im still indoor
    sheltered in cozy paradise

a smile in a rainy day
    drives my tears away
a smile in a rainy day
    chase my fears away

glance out of the window, i see couples strolling by
the men with umbrellas, the ladies close by
    warmth...
holding hand in hand, love's in the air
    immersed in total happiness

a smile in a rainy day
    fight stress to the bay
a smile in a rainy day
    put joy on display

daydreaming out of space, memories gushing back
sparkles in your eyes; lov'in the way you smile
    sweet...
sharing 3 scopes icecream, simple as that
contented is the word to be

don't be moody in a rainy day like this
a big wide smile would be the best remedy

    ~The End~

PS: Just my humble creation. whoever is interested in composing a melody for this, feel free to contact me. Comments are gladly welcomed. hahaz.

    food for thought

After some major events have happened in my life recently, made me realised that contentment and simplicity are the passwords for happiness.

As humans, we are usually too caught up in our own world of problems without even showing any forms of concern of what are actually happening outside. Now that i have learnt, whenever i am feeling depressed or moody about my own problems, i would look around my surroundings and the people around me.

Such as... the giggling sound of children when they were having fun with their cousins, the smile on the face of an old lady by the mentioning of her children and grandchildren, the mutual understanding between couples that you could observe just by the way they look at each other without a need of verbal exchange. They were all so genuine and i could feel they were happy and contented in some ways or another in life. People always say sadness and hatre are rampant. Why not make happiness the contagious one?

Life is always full or ups and downs. As for me, during the rough period, i chose to let happiness spread to me, even through some daily things or gestures that are too insignficant or simple to be noticed. With this, i somehow realised i've started to know how to appreciate more; to my family and especially my sister. In the past, the idea of getting along well with my sister was never possible. But now, i have a second thought on this. I will make a point of showing more patience towards her and take initiative to improve our relationship. =)

hmm... *not until yesterday, i never knew that sharing a small and simple green-tea donut could make my day and put a smile on my face. hahaz... =)
yap, i'm feeling contented and happy now.

    Something happened...and I was on a roller-coaster ride yesterday...

Just asked my mum about my gong gong's condition...I'm really relieved to know he is doing fine, except for some not-so-serious problems but he should be able to discharge today. I really really hope gong gong will regain his health very soon...
