    food for thought

After some major events have happened in my life recently, made me realised that contentment and simplicity are the passwords for happiness.

As humans, we are usually too caught up in our own world of problems without even showing any forms of concern of what are actually happening outside. Now that i have learnt, whenever i am feeling depressed or moody about my own problems, i would look around my surroundings and the people around me.

Such as... the giggling sound of children when they were having fun with their cousins, the smile on the face of an old lady by the mentioning of her children and grandchildren, the mutual understanding between couples that you could observe just by the way they look at each other without a need of verbal exchange. They were all so genuine and i could feel they were happy and contented in some ways or another in life. People always say sadness and hatre are rampant. Why not make happiness the contagious one?

Life is always full or ups and downs. As for me, during the rough period, i chose to let happiness spread to me, even through some daily things or gestures that are too insignficant or simple to be noticed. With this, i somehow realised i've started to know how to appreciate more; to my family and especially my sister. In the past, the idea of getting along well with my sister was never possible. But now, i have a second thought on this. I will make a point of showing more patience towards her and take initiative to improve our relationship. =)

hmm... *not until yesterday, i never knew that sharing a small and simple green-tea donut could make my day and put a smile on my face. hahaz... =)
yap, i'm feeling contented and happy now.

I cannot possible agree more with what you've said! I think that the one and only route to true happiness is by being content and happy with what you have, be appreciative of everything that you enjoy today and most importantly, be understanding and accomodating towards others' actions, even if they contradict your personal beliefs and etc...

Life can get really great if you have friends to hang out with, and friends who can lend you a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on. Being appreciative of things around us lets us realise how lucky and fortunate we are, and of course this makes us happy too!

      Take care and have fun!
