canopy flourishes throughout the rainforest
blocking any sunlight available
darkness falls even in daylight
i've tried shouting, screaming and crying
no response, nothing at all
silence is being received
i am alone as can be

i'm lost, i'm seriously lost
mama, where are you?
please don't leave me alone in the wild
i'll promise to be a good girl
never to cry and to be strong
but now
i need your strength and courage to carry me through


Birds are not chirping, bees are not buzzing
possibly this is what hell on earth means
coldness rapidly seeps through my skin
i keep on shivering, fidgeting and wondering
this a dream, nightmare that's all
denial is what i own

mama, where are you?
Are you as anxious to look for me too

PS: imaginative story about a little deer getting lost in the forest, trying to look for her mama and also the state of emotions she was going through.
