    prata day

I had craving for mushroom cheese prata for days and i finally had it satisfied yesterday. Initially, my dear mr g and i decided to patronize "The Prata Place" at Springleaf Garden (near seletar reservoir), but who knows, the stall was closed for Deevapali! Digressing a little, we noticed they spelt Deepavali as 'DeepaWali' on the piece of notice. For a moment i thought my eyes played a trick on me or maybe i had been learning the wrong word all along. Or perhaps, as according to mr g, they spelt according to the way they pronounced it. Which i think it is quite logical since they would tend to roll their tougues when they speak in tamil. Back track...back track...as i was saying, i was already 1/2 sian when i saw the stall was closed. It was like a stone was thrown right onto my face. haha.. Thanks my mr g for being so sweet and understanding. =) Because he knew that i was having my pms craving, so we headed on to upper thomson for more pratas! teng teng teng~ proudly present "The Roti Prata House"!

We settled down with mushroom cheese prata for me and Chicken bryani for him, plus teh bing (tea with ice) for each of us. I tell you, mushroom and cheese are simply the perfect match! They taste so heavenly together! The melted cheese within the prata coated nicely around the sliced button mushrooms and the prata was crispy on the outside and soft in the inside...Dip it in curry and let it stimulates your taste buds...The only word that could best describe the way it taste, would be... SHIOK! A must try prata!

Mr g's bryani came with a big piece of chicken, even he said that too. The rice was fragrant and well cooked. Grains of rice were defined and not lumped together or soggy like some other brani the other stalls cook. They were done just nice. As for the chicken, it came together with a sweet based curry gravy. Best suited for people who wanted to have a mixture of all spiciness, savoury and sweetness in a meal. =) nice.

PS: Ching and van, the pictures i took as promised. hahaz. Ching arh...don't concuss again hor. =p LOL.

    The appearance of the stall.

my mushroom cheese prata! im sure van would love this. hahaz.

    mr g's Chicken bryani.

    Now you see it...

    Now you don't...

After dinner, mr g and i discussed alot about some controversial issues which to me, was really an eye opener. Sometimes it is really nice to talk about heavy topics that could intrigue your mind and your flow of thoughts. It can be fascinating to know what others' perspectives to at least understand what is actually happening around us (i haven't even mention about the whole world yet) because we are not just living in our 'own' little perfect world. But we are living in a society that was made up of infinite unique individuals.
